No experience needed, just a love of the program. Here are some of the ways you can help.
Every trip, host family and culture class is organized by volunteers: parents, alumni families, former players and neighbors who care about the friendship between San Mateo and Toyonaka. Whether you have a spare bedroom for a week, a few evenings a month, or a skill to share, there's a role for you.
Volunteering is also one of the best ways to experience the exchange yourself. Host families often stay in touch with their Toyonaka guests for years, and several of today's coaches and board members first got involved as players or parents of players.
